Forbes Family Christmas


 The Forbes Family Christmas is a fully animated light display featuring over 125,000 lights in four brilliant colors, which are fully synchronized to music by 224 channels of computer controls and simultaneously broadcast on 106.7 FM. The display will begin each night Sunday through Thursday at 6 PM till 10 PM and on Friday and Saturday until 11 PM. The first show starts November 27th and will run through December 25th. It is our sincere wish that you enjoy our display which in some way may brighten your holidays and fill you with the Christmas spirit of good will toward the young and young at heart. Come by and see us, Mary and Roger Forbes. This year we will be accepting donations for the Make a Wish Foundation who will be hosting a block party on November 27th. We will also have a second block party hosted by Wal-Mart employees to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network on December 11th and 12th. Throughout the season we will be accepting non-perishable food items for the Food for the Multitude organization that the feeds the hungry in Carter County. During the block parties the 700 block of Holston Ave. will be closed to traffic. Free parking at the First Baptist Church parking lot at Holston and G Street with shuttle service to and from the display site. Statistics: 125,000 lights, four colors, 224 channels Light-O-Rama computer controls, over a mile of extension cords, thousands of electrical plugs, a thousand feet of PVC support tubing, 500 ft of rope lighting, 48 candy canes, 14 ft Mega tree with 19,500 lights, 21 36” mini trees with over 1,000 lights each, countless hours of programming and labor of love.
